Is a Hybrid SUV Practical?
Two words that most Americans do not believe would go together would be the words hybrid and SUV, but is it a possibility? When most people think of a hybrid car, they picture a small car with a great gas mileage. When they hear SUV, they think just the opposite. Some companies however, such as GMC, have put the two together for those with needs requiring a larger vehicle.
While some say that the hybrid SUV will still burn more gas than is practical, even with its hybrid engine. Others argue that the need for large sport utility vehicles will always remain in America, and that by adding in the hybrid engine, we are taking a bug step in reducing the amount of gas used to power them. Despite the fact they still may require a large amount of fuel to power them, they will still be cutting the gas usage of the vehicle by a significant margin.
